Description
A 2-3m tall, erect, hispid herb. Leaves simple, 5-7 lobed, cordate or ovate, acute.Flowers purple, rose or even white, forming large terminal racemes. Fruits withnumerous, disc like seeds. (India)
Glabrous perennial; stems euect, 40-80cm High, terete, slightly branched in upperpart; leaves alternate or opposite, or opposite, lanceolate, 6-10cm Long, 1-2cm Wide,acuminate, subsessile, deep green; in-floresecnce cymose, many-flowered, terminal;flowers blue, about 13mm across; calyx-lobes 1-2mm long; corolla-tube about 8mmlong, the lobes narrowly oblong, nearly as long as the tube; follicles obliquely spreading, 5-6cm long, glabrous, terete; seeds narrowly oblong, 7-10mm long, oblifquelytruncate at both ends, brown, irregularly rugose.
