A large beautiful climber with milky latex and stout stem. Leaves ovate or elliptic,acute or shortly acuminate, coriaceous. Flowers white borne in lax terminal,pubescent cymes, fragrant with broad falcate petals and red calyx. Fruits stout-follicles, densely yellow tomentose when young, spreading or recurved. Seeds ovate-oblong, flat. (India)
