Leaves arranged spirally in a rosette, linear to lanceleolate or triangular, long 30-50cm by 5-10cm wide with the thickness of 1-2cmThe upper surface is concave, gray-green, often with reddish tinge. The leaf margin has a pale pink edge and 2mm long pale teeth. Inflorescence a pseudo-lateral, simple or branches, long-cylindrical raceme. Flowers bisexual, protandrous, pedicullate, usually connate into a tube. Fruit loculicidal capsule, many seeded. Seeds elongate and ovoid, grey or black.(Laos)
