A herb with branched rhizome, yellowish outside, the top white, inside lemoncoloured to sulphur-yellow with a white outer layer; leaf sheaths 30-65cm long,blades elliptical-oblong to oblong-oblanceolate, 15-95cm x 5-23cm, green;inflorescence on a separate shoot, bracts green, coma bracts white at base, purpletowards the top; corolla 3-4cm long, white; labellum 15-25mm x 14-18mm, whitewith a yellow median band, other staminodes longitudinally folded, white, anther withlong, narrow spurs. C. mangga is cultivated in very fertile soils, up to 1000m altitude.(Indonesia)
