An herbaceous erect annual, glandular pubescent throughout. Leaves simple, alternate,often incised or lyrate, elliptic-oblong or obovate. Flowers yellow, numerous in heads,both terminal and axillary. Corolla lobes glabrous. Fruits sub-tetragonous achenes, notribbed, crowned with white pappus hairs.
