Description
Prostrate glabrous, branched, annual herbs, with radially spreading branches. Leavessessile, fleshy, opposite, oval-shape, rounded at apex, narrow toward the base.Flowers bright yellow in terminal axils. Sepals broadly oblong, rounded at the apex.Petals 4, yellow, oblong-obovate. Stamens 8. Capsules ovoid or conical. Seeds dark-brown to blackish-brown, minutely tubercled and horizontally ribbed. (India)

Nearly glabrous slightly fleshy shrub with stout branches; leaves lustrous above,broadly elliptic to broadly elliptic-ovate or broadly obovate, 10-15cm Long, 7-10cmWide, abruptly acute to abruptly acuminate, dentate, yellowish to fresh-green,sparsely short-pilose on nerves above while young, paler and sparsely short-pilosewhile young beneath, the petioles 2-4cm long; inflorescence rather large, flat-topped,short-pilose, with neutral flowers on the periphery; calyx-teeth in bisexual flowerssmall; petals narrowly ovate; anthers globose; capsules ovoid, 6-8mm long inclusiveof the stvles. enveloped tor 2/3 of the length by the calyx-tube. -June -July.
