A shrub. Young leaves hoary, glabrous when mature, ovate-obovate or obovate-oblong, acute, inflorescence clothed with white woolly tomentum. Flowers borne interminal and axillary corymbose cymes, purplish-red, silvery outside with a strongodour. Corolla-lobes erect. Fruits follicles, recurved. Seeds numerous, ovoid. (India)
