A spiny shrub with knotty, crooked, brown branches. Leaves rhomboid-ovate, serrate.Flowers in fascicles of 2-3, brownish-red. Stamens 8-10, alternately long and short,and half the length of the petals. Disc 8-10 lobed and ovary oblong-ovoid. Fruit is adrupe, red. (India)
