Description
An annual, erect, nearly glabrous, tall, robust her with broad, ovate, coarsely andirregularly lobed and toothed leaves. Flowers white, single on short, usually axillarystalks. Capsules are ovoid, prickles, surrounded at the base by enlarged and reflexedlower part of the calyx. Seeds black, wrinkled. (India)
Large, goabrous perennial with thick, green, jointed rhizomes; stems much branched,60-100cm Long; radical and lower cauline leaves long-petiolate, deltoid-ovate inoutline, 30-50cm Long, twice pinnately compound, the ultimate segments linear-lamceolate to broadly lanceolate, 3-8cm long, 7-20mm wide, acute, acutely dentate,the upper leaves subsessile, smaller and less divided;umbels glabrous, rathernumerous, the involucral bracts absent, the rays about 20, 3-7cm long, spreading, theumbellets more than 10-filiform, 3-7mm long; pedicels slender, 8-10mm long; fruitovoid-globose, about 2.5mm long, green, with thick yellow ribs, the calyx-teethdeltoid, minute, the styles slender, about 1mm long.
