Description
Rhizomes elongate, 4-7mm In deameter, the internodes long; stems angled, 30-60cmLong, ascending above; leaves oblong to narrowly oblong, nearly sessile, 5-10cmLong, 2-5cm Wide, glabrous, usually glaucous beneath; flowers 1-2, axillary, shite,greenish near the tip, 15-20mm long, the pedicels 0.8-2cm long; filaments minutelypapillose, the anthers about 4mm long, equaling to slightly longer than the filaments. -Apr. -May. (Korea)
Medium-sized tree 10 m. high or more. Leaves alternate, petiolate, margins toothed.The bark and leaves contain a milky latex which stretches into numerous strandswhen broken. Flowers unisexual, dioecious; perianth none in either sex. Fruitrhomboidal, flat, brown, single-seeded (Vietnam)
