A shout herb of about 1.5m tall. Leaves leathery, rough above, densely hairy beneathand toothed margined. Radical leaves stalked, elliptic, lanceolate, cauline leavesovate-oblong, semi-amplexicaule, often deeply lobed at the base. Flower heads many,yellow and arising in terminal racemes. Achenes slender and with reddish pappus.(India)
