Perennial liana. Roots and stems yellow inside. Leaves alternate, petiole 8cm long,pubescent with swollen base and bend; blade cordate with broadly acuminated rip, to15cm by 20cm, upper surface green, below ash-colored. Inflorescence, in tomentosepanicle of 8cm long and 4cm across, outer sepals short, inner sepals oblong and longer. Flowers, unisexual. Fruit, a drupe, about 2cm in diameter. Flowering period: January-May. (Laos)
