A glabrous tree or shrub without aerial roots and smooth pale bark. Leaves simple,alternate, subcoriaceous, broadly ovate, base cordate, apex shortly caudate-acuminate,margin entire. Receptacles globose in pairs or clusters from tubercles in the axils offallen leaves; male flowers few near the mouth of the receptacles. (India)
