An erect, hairy and viscid, annual herb with fetid smell; stem robust. Radical leavesspreading, stalked, oblong-ovate, margins coarsely sinuate-toothed; cauline leavessmaller, sessile, ovate, irregularly pinnatifid. Flowers yellowish-brown to pale greenwith purplish veins, funnel-shaped, sessile, borne in terminal cymes. Capsulesenclosed in the globose tube of the enlarged calyx. Seeds numerous, minute, oval orkidney-shaped, brown, marked with fine but conspicuous reticulations. (India) A binnial plant 15-70cm high. (Mongolia)
