Glabrous evergreen tree with yellow-brown branches; buds many scaled; leavessubcouiaceous, ovate or broadly so or elliptic, 6-10cm . Long, 3-6cm Wide, abruptlyacuminate, lustrous above, often glaucescent beneath, 3-nerved or subpenninerved,with 2 impressed glands in the lower nerve axils beneath, the petioles 15-25mmlong;inflorescence axillary, paniculate, glabrous, pedunculate, shorter than the leaves,the bracts caducous, membranous, linear, soft-pubescent, the perianth-segments about1.5mm long, yellow-green,soft-pubescent inside, elliptic; fruit globose, 7-8mm across,black.
