A large deciduous, thorny shrub or a small tree, with grey bark, often long and stoutaxillary spines. Leaves obovate, obtuse or acute, narrowed into the short marginatestipules. Flowers greenish or whitish-yellow, fragrant, solitary or 2-3 together at theends of short, lateral branches. Fruits ovoid, of the size of a lemon, yellow on ripening.Seeds many and flat in appearance. (India)
