A small, erect, grey, pubesce4nt, undershrub. Leaves with 2-3 small, stiff, minutespiny projections at the nodes near the place of insertion. Flowers pale yellow tocream white, axillary and solitary on slender peduncles. Fruits 5-6 or 3-chamberedwith one seed in each chamber. Seeds brownish black, smooth. (India)
