Description
Straggling climber shrub, 60-80cm long. Stem and branches numerous, short stoutand prickly. Leaves simple, alternate, thin, ovate or oblong in texture, 3-4cm long by1.2-2cm wide, thorny. Inflorescence in axillary cyme, usually 2-8 flowers, pale violet.Fruit globose, glabrous, reddish yellow when ripe. Seed numerous, yellow, reniform,long 4mm by 2mm wide. (Laos)

Tonic, expectorant, diuresis, coryza, cough, viscous saliva, retained sputum, diabetes(Laos)
