Description
A trailing, or subscandent, armed, glabrous undershrub. Leaves ovate to ovate-orbicular, sparsely prickly on midrib, 3-5-lobed, with or without prickles on themidrib. Flowers large and showy, violet-purple in extra- axillary racemes; pediclesoften prickly. Corolla lobes oblong-lanceolate, acute, stellately hairy outside, usuallyreflexed. Berries deep red or scarlet, glabrous, globose. Seeds spherical, glabrous,faintly pitted. (India)
