Description
Large evergreen tree with stout, terete, glabrous branches, the bud-scales many, theinner ones yellow-brown, woolly; leaves coriceous, obovate, elliptic or broadlyoblanceolate, 8-15cm Long, 3-7cm Wide, abruptly obtuse, usually acute at base,lustrous and deep green above, penninerved, pale griin and with slightly raisedveinlets beneath, the petioles 2-3cm long, stout; inflorescejnce glabrous; flowerspedicelled, the perianth-segments 5-7mm long, narrowly oblong, brown-pubescentinside; fruit globose, about 10mm across black - purple.
