Rhizomes with short internodes; leaves usually in pairs, long- petioled, cordate orreniform-cordate, 5-10cm Wide, usually abruptly acute, scattered shrt-pilose on bothsides especially while young; flowers solitary, on short pedicels, glabrous, theperianth-tube depressedglobose, the lobes broadly deltoid-ovate, often recurved onmargin; styles 6; stamens 12.
