Description
A small tree or more frequently a shrub, glabrous. Leaves coriaceous, elliptic-oblong,serrulate, midrib glabrous or pilose beneath. Flowers yellow, fragrant, nearly sessile,borne on short axillary, compound spikes. Fruits oblong or cylindric, more or lessdistinctly ribbed, often slightly curved, purple when ripe, enclosing a 1-3-celled nut.Seeds 1 or 2. (India)
