Description
Rhizomes short, culms 60-100cm Long, retrorsely short-pubescent; leaf-blades deep green, nearly flat, 25-40cm Long, 4-7mm Broad; sheaths pilose; ligules semirounded, 1-2mm Long; panicles nodding, deep green, 20-30cm Long, very loose, the branches geminate, elongate, scabrous; spikelets loosely 6-to 10-flowered, 3-4cm long; glumes linear-lanceolate, acuminate, the lower 5-7mm, the upper 8-12mm long; lemmas narrowly lanceolate, 12-15mm long, the awn erect, as long as to half as long as the lemma; anthers 1.5-2mm long. -June -July.
